Why This Role Is Valuable: 

The Director of Food Safety and Quality is responsible for providing leadership and is accountable for the development and growth of overall quality systems and training to support all activities consistent with product development for multiple plants. This role is directly responsible for Food Safety programs, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Compliance to ensure the continuous production of quality products consistent with established standards. 

What You Bring To The Role: 

  • Champion the harmonization (as much as is practical) of our quality management systems across the US. And where appropriate support harmonization of global QMS. 
  • Regularly visit our various facilities, develop productive working relationships with key stakeholders, walk the production floor, interact with and mentor people at every level of the organization to assist in ensuring plant production meets or exceeds USDA, HACPP, GFSI (BRC), GMP, Food Defense, Allergen requirements. 
  • Lead the QA/QC team. Identify any skills or capabilities gap and work to address. Ensure the team have clarity on goals and are aligned key priorities. 
  • A love of cheese, you’re going to taste a lot of it!
