We are searching for a bilingual English/Spanish HR Representative to work in our corporate office located in Whitehall, WI!

Whitehall Specialties is a cheese product manufacturer undergoing significant Information Systems and Process changes to better support its manufacturing business. We are a progressively run company with a focus on growth and development of both product and people.

Our ideal candidate is an experienced human resources professional with the ability to fluently read and write in English and Spanish. This role requires a passion to serve others and will support the day to day HR needs of our Plant 1 facility in Whitehall, WI.

The HR Representatives Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a liaison between management and employees by handling questions and interpreting and administering policy.
  • Coach employees and managers regarding employee relations issues including performance management, facilitation of formal/informal complaints to resolution, discipline and/or terminations in line with company policies and legal practices.
  • Assists with HR information reporting and information requests and deliver required reports on an ongoing or ad hoc basis through ADP Workforce Now Analytics and Microsoft office applications.
  • Provide a hiring experience from recruiting through onboarding that attracts the best and brightest people to our team and engages them in value added careers.
  • Support internal training initiatives including the facilitation of new employee orientation, employee training and leadership education.
  • Manage leave coordination and consults for FMLA, STD, LTD, Military Leave, Compelling Leave, Bereavement, Jury Duty, etc.
  • Translate company documents including policies and procedures, company communication and training documentation.
  • Ensure weekly payroll data is accurate and completed timely by coordinating facility time and attendance auditing in preparation of payroll processing.
  • Maximize the use of technology in managing HR information across the organization.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR regulations, legislation, and compliance providing expertise and support to the organization. Ensure HR processes are in compliance with all regulations and laws.
  • Backup payroll processing as needed (process payroll, maintain time and attendance system).
  • Assists with employee benefit enrollment processes.
  • Supports Whitehall Specialties ‘great place to work’ initiatives including internal communications needs, company and community activities and special events, recognition programs and awards.
  • Communicate suggestions and recommend solutions to problems.

Essential skills for this role include: 

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Write professional reports, prepare presentations and other business correspondence.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication competencies.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency with advanced Excel capability.
  • Comprehensive HRIS experience including implementation of new technology.
  • Work as a member of a team.
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and act upon them.
  • Time management skills.
  • Document management.
  • Uphold confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Maintain excellent attendance.

 

Physical requirements:

  • Stand/sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Operate computers, touch screens and equipment controls
  • Climb Stairs
  • Able to wear or use all required Personal Protective Equipment, such as, hearing protection, eye protection, bump cap, safety shoes, bump cap, gloves, and all other required PPE.
