Mozz Sticks


  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cups Italian bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup corn starch
  • Whitehall Specialties 145 Mozzarella Style Cheese, cut into sticks
  • peanut oil for frying

Heat oil to 375 degrees.  Cut a block of Whitehall Specialties 145 Mozzarella Style Cheese into sticks approximately 1/2 inch across and 4 inches long.  In a small bowl, combine the corn starch and flour.  In a second bowl, mix eggs and water.  In a third bowl, blend the bread crumbs, garlic salt, and seasonings.  Roll the Mozzarella Style cheese sticks first in the flour mixture, bathe them in the egg wash, and then roll in the bread crumbs, covering completely.  Repeat the process for a second layer of coating.  Make sure they are evenly coated and that no cheese remains uncovered.  Fry in the heated oil until golden brown and mozz sticks float to the top, approximately 30-45 seconds.  Serve warm with marinara dipping sauce.
