General laborers-Drying and IWS lines

Owen Street (Plant 1) and Specialty Way (Plant 2) Whitehall, Wisconsin
Description:

Whitehall Specialties has General Laborer positions available in our Specialty Way and Owen Street, Whitehall, Wisconsin facilities. We have four food production manufacturing facilities in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania with an aggressive growth forecast.

Whitehall Specialties, Inc. has several General Laborer positions available in our Specialty Way and Owen Street, Whitehall, Wisconsin production facilities. We are seeking:

  • General Laborers on our Individually Wrapped Slice crew. (IWS)
  • General Laborers on our Drying crew
  • 1st Shift 5:00am-5:00pm and 2nd Shift 5:00pm – 5:00am.
  • Shift Schedule is a rotating 2 days on 2 days off schedule.
  • Laborers have every other weekend off (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

This role is critical to support our safety, quality and customer satisfaction objectives while we continue to experience growth in our food processing facilities. We are seeking dependable, enthusiastic, positive self-starters who are passionate about a long term career plan.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Assist in manufacturing of the finished product.
  • Able to operate flow meters, steam controls, grinder hammer mill and dryer.
  • Familiar with the cheese making process and the impact of any deviation from the set process conditions.
  • Must be able to do multiple tasks at the same time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Assist the lead in manufacturing the right product from the right recipe, to the right specification.
  • Assist in mixing the correct batch.
  • Required to grate and/or dry the product to the correct moisture and specifications.
  • Required to clean equipment and surrounding area.
  • Hand pack cheese
  • From time to time you may be required to work other shifts or be temporarily moved to other departments in the plant.

Must also be prepared for any related duties Whitehall Specialties, Inc. (within reason) assigned by the Supervisor or Management

Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent .
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • The ability to safely lift and carry 25-50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Stand for at least 12 hours.
  • Outstanding safety record with a history of demonstrating safe work practices.
  • Strong attendance record.
  • Positive, outgoing, team focused attitude is a must.

Salary:
Wage Range based on skills and experience: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour starting.
